Other legislation that has an impact on NWR are the Companies Act (Act 61 of 1973 as amended), the Public Enterprise Act (2 of 2006 as amended) and the Public Enterprises Governance Amendment Act (Act 8 of 2015). NWR has adopted International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the financial statements have been prepared in accordance with IFRS. The financial records of NWR are located at its Head Office in Windhoek. NWR hereby invites interested auditing firms to submit Expression of Interest for auditing of the NWR financial statements for the financial year ending 31 st October 2017. A REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE ASPECT • Proof of company registration • Affirmative Action Compliance Certificate • Registered with professional bodies PAAB and ICAN. • Income Tax registration and Certificate of Good Standing with the Ministry of Finance • Certificate of Good Standing from the Social Security Commission • Certificate of Good Standing from the Office of the Employment Equity Commissioner • Proof of 5 years’ experience in providing similar services • Company references B CAPABILITIES, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS • Ability to handle audit clients the size of NWR • Experience with clients in the Hospitality and Tourism industry • Sufficiency of manpower, resources, skills and time to execute the audits • Your understanding of NWR and the associated challenges with such an audit. • Specialized skills such as IT systems audit, tax, forensics, risk and strategy for a client like NWR • The audit approach and strategy including fraud detection • How you will add value to NWR through the audit process • Knowledge of the Innkeeper financial system and other hospitality financial systems C PROPOSED FEES Justifications for the proposed fees and basis.
