The project aims at reaching various key populations and other vulnerable groups with high impact health services to support the programmes of the Ministry of Health and Social Services. Through its broad membership and diverse range of stakeholders, it offers a platform that facilitates and supports the fight against HIV/AIDS and the provision of general wellness interventions along its transport corridors. By doing so it reaches a wide, traditionally and generally perceived high HIV and AIDS mobile group within the transport sector of Namibia. The WBCG is hereby seeking to appoint qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team. SITE REGISTERED NURSE Stationed in Windhoek, Namibia Primary purpose of the job The Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing the screening, treatment and support health services of all the WBCG Wellness Service interventions in Windhoek while also supporting the regional offices. Main responsibilities • Administer Comprehensive treatment, screening and counseling services for clients as per the national standards, guidelines and protocols of the Ministry of Health and Social Services; • Develop, Implement, Manage and Coordinate the WBCG Wellness Service initiative by liaising with all relevant stakeholders and partners. • Regularly Monitor and control medical records, pharmaceuticals and other systems within the scope of the project; • Responsible for providing nursing care and support services to the in- patient and out patients presenting for HIV treatment, care and support services. • Participate in HIV outreach Testing Services (HTS) as planned with the project donors. • Screen, Diagnose and Evaluate Pre-ART patients for eligibility and initiate those eligible for ART as per national guidelines. • Maintain medical record and files in a thorough and accurate professional manner. • Conduct case management interventions and ensure continuum of care for all clients. • Provide appropriate Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) to all eligible clients. • Request appropriate laboratory and clinical investigations, interpret results and provide appropriate medical care. • Provide patient education on HIV/AIDS including nutrition, prevention prompt treatment of opportunistic diseases and adherence to ART. • Support integration of services such as TB/HIV, PMTCT and HIV-SRH. • Participate in data review and Quality Improvement Processes. • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and relevant operational research. Requirements Minimum Education and Professional Requirements: • Grade 12 • Relevant Degree/ Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery. • Must be a Registered nurse (registered with the Nursing Council of Namibia). • MoHSS Accreditation for HIV Rapid Testing and Counseling is an advantage. • Certificates in NIMART/ HIV/AIDS/TB/PMTCT/STI management with 2 years experience. • At least five (5) years clinical experience and/or experience in the field of HIV/AIDS and general employee wellness. • Must be able to work independently and under pressure, be prepared to work overtime and must be willing to travel extensively. • Must be a Namibian citizen preferably based in Khomas region and willing to travel. • Fluent in English and Afrikaans - fluent in at least one vernacular is a distinct advantage. • Must have good knowledge of the policies and guidelines of the Namibian national response on HIV/AIDS. • Strong computer skills with functional working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Oral and written fluency in English, including good report writing skills. • Experience in the treatment of HIV will be an added advantage. • Previous experience with HIV work is preferred. • Ability to maintain professional confidentiality all time. DRIVER Stationed in Windhoek, Namibia Primary purpose of the job The Driver will be stationed in Windhoek and will join and be responsible for providing transport services to our dynamic Wellness Service staff on official and approved trips that aim at reaching out to all project target groups and areas/locations as part of our Wellness Service initiative service delivery. The driver will be stationed in Windhoek but will be required to travel occasionally. Main responsibilities • Prepare project materials used through outreach activities. • Travel with the WBCG Wellness team to various service provision points. • Maintain the vehicle log books and ensure that its properly and consistently utilized; • Assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of all wellness clinic assets, • Must be able to perform any other project-related duties.
