Mbumba enthusiastic about SoN progress Staff Reporter Windhoek Scouts of Namibia (SoN) presented its ‘Centenary of Scouting Gift’ to Namibia’s newly appointed Vice President Nangolo Mbumba at the Old State House, on Friday. Mbumba was quite pleased to receive the gift on behalf of President Hage Geingob during an audience, which lasted 40 minutes. The Vice President was very welcoming and expressed immerse interest in what SoN is doing for Namibian youth and in particular for local communities. A former school teacher himslef at Ongwediva before he skipped the country in the mid-60s, the easy going Vice President was particularly happy to learn about the Scouting in Schools programme, the Food For Life Project and the Tsintsabis Project. Kunene Debmarine Cup play-offs slated for Kamanjab REHOBOTH The village of Kamanjab in the Kunene Region will host the Debmarine Namibia Cup elimination round for that region, scheduled to take place between 3 and 4 March at Kamanjab Combined School Stadium. The Debmarine Namibia Cup, the country’s biggest cup competition, kicks off across the country on 3 March, with clubs in the first and second divisions battling it out for places in the competition’s round of 32.
