Monday, March 19 2018 | NEW ERA SPORT 21 NFA hospitality students graduate Going places...From left: Rosalia Silvanus, Melissa Eises, Martina Shipanga, Joritta Cloete, Celeste Kock (GIZ) and Jenny Mento WINDHOEK Five students graduated at the Silver Spoon Hospitality Academy with representatives from the Namibia Football Association (NFA) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) present to celebrate their success last week. The five students whose graduation was made possible through a scholarship programme by the TUI Care Foundation and Futouris e.V. with the support of the GIZ Sport for Development programme are Martina Shipanga, Joritta Cloete, Jenny Mento, Rosalia Silvanus and Melissa Eises. After an intensive process and a year of extensive training in the in Food and Beverage Services at the Silver Spoon Hospitality ment, hope and drive to pursue their careers in the hospitality industry. Family and friends also joined to share in the joy while congratulating the young women on their achievement and on their prosperous future. One of the graduating students Cloete said: “When the going gets tough don’t give up because when the sun rises, you’ll experience a tomorrow morning that will be much brighter. Thanks, GIZ Namibia.” Seven other ladies, who also received scholarships, are slated to graduate sometime in August this year. The NFA Girls Centre is supported through the NFA’s partnership with German Development Cooperation, GIZ and private partners from the tourism industry such as the Futouris e.V. and the TUI Care Foundation.
