As such, Standard Bank has once again committed itself to ensuring the success of the expo with a sponsorship of N,000. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION NOTICE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT: RENTES FRESH PRODUCE AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT, OTJOZONDJUPA REGION Rentes Fresh Produce CC intends to apply for an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for a proposed agricultural development northeast of Otavi in the Otjozondjupa Region. Geo Pollution Technologies (Pty) Ltd was requested to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment for the proposed project. The Environmental Assessment will be submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism as per the Environmental Management Act of 2007, in support of the ECC application. The proposed agricultural project will be located on a portion of farm Rentes, approximately 10 km northeast of Otavi. The project will entail the clearing and preparation of land to cultivate mainly maize for local and international markets. In total approximately 48 ha will be cleared for centre pivot irrigation while an additional 352 ha will be for dry land crops and related infrastructure.
